OPEN KAART

OPEN KAART (OPEN CARD) is a card game I designed for game developer Identity Games that enables misconceptions and issues surrounding Chinese culture to be discussed openly.

This card game has been developed for the Chinese community in the Netherlands, specifically for students. Research shows that every Chinese-Dutch person has often experienced racism and discrimination at a young age. As a result, many suffer from mental health problems, such as an inferiority complex.

In Western society, there are many misconceptions about Chinese culture. This card game allows these misconceptions to be discussed and experiences, emotions and stories to be shared.
