Every month, Artemis Academie launches a Trend Forecast developed by one of its students. Not a trend report that simply describes what is already happening, but an exploration of the shifts taking place beneath the surface and where they may lead us.

At Artemis, we do not see education merely as a place that follows the creative industry, but as an environment where new perspectives emerge. An academy offers space for experimentation, reflection and speculation; ideas that may later find their way into the creative field and society at large.

With these monthly forecasts, we aim to make exactly that visible:
new insights, questions and possible futures shaped by a new generation of creative thinkers.

This forecast was developed by Kiki de Werk and explores how technology, digitalisation and collective systems are transforming our consciousness and sense of identity. In a world increasingly shaped by algorithms, online networks and technological control, she questions what remains of individuality, emotion and human connection.

Through two speculative future scenarios, Kiki explores how our consciousness may evolve: from an optimised and programmable state of mind to a collective supermind in which the boundary between the individual and the network begins to dissolve.
